Secure, mobile, confident: Materna Virtual Solution launches SecurePIM WorkSPACE, a new office suite for the indigo ecosystem
Munich, August 8, 2025 – With SecurePIM WorkSPACE, Materna Virtual Solution presents a highly secure office suite that has been specially developed for the indigo ecosystem and optimized for use on the iPad. It enables authorities and organizations with security tasks to process VS-NfD-classified information on the move – securely, user-friendly and completely location-independent.
The new solution marks an important step on the way from a stationary workplace to a modern, ultra-mobile working environment in the public sector.
SecurePIM WorkSPACE is based on the indigo platform release (iOS Native Devices in Government Operation) tested by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). It allows the use of the native security functions of iPad and iPhone under iPadOS and iOS for handling sensitive data at VS-NfD level. The solution is approved for all iPads from version iPadOS 15.6.1 – and is therefore ready for secure use wherever confidentiality and flexibility must go hand in hand.
SecurePIM WorkSPACE separates a protected environment at system level as an ultra-mobile workspace from the rest of the device so that data cannot flow out unintentionally and other applications cannot access it. In this way, private and business data are also strictly separated from each other. Within the protected area, employees have access to familiar Office functions such as email, calendar, contacts, tasks, notes, a secure camera, a secure browser for accessing internal resources and classified VS-NfD information as well as other business apps. In addition, individual or authority-specific applications can also be integrated into the personal workspace in close consultation with the experts from Materna Virtual Solution. All applications enable the secure mobile processing, storage and sending of VS-NfD-classified information. The WorkSPACE workspace can be flexibly adapted to individual requirements – both in its structure and in the selection of modules. The solution is specially optimized for use on tablets and can be extended by web applications and other indigo-certified apps from Materna Virtual Solution – such as the highly secure browser TrustOwl, the protected document editor TrustDok or the secure camera app TrustCam.
