Welcome to the new release cycle in 2026! For the first release of the year, we have a whole range of new features and improvements for SecurePIM and the SecurePIM Management Portal for you.
SecurePIM (9.40.x for iOS & 9.7.x for Android)
Dynamic font sizes in the Team Mail module, when adding shared elements & in the login screen (iOS)
With the current version of SecurePIM, the Team Mail module now also supports dynamic font sizes. As in the Mail module, the font size in the Team Mail module automatically adjusts to the individual iOS system settings on the account page, folder view, inbox, email view and when creating an email in the email composer, thereby improving the readability and usability of the app for users with impaired vision, age-related visual impairments or temporary restrictions.
SecurePIM also automatically adjusts the font size in the pages for adding shared mailboxes, calendars, contacts and participants, in the login screen of SecurePIM and in the time picker for the Calendar, Tasks & Notes and Contacts modules to the iOS settings.
In order for the dynamic texts to be displayed in the Mail module, you must activate them in the iOS system settings under Settings > Accessibility > Display & text size > Larger text and also in the SecurePIM settings General > Dynamic text.
Adaptive user interface for SecurePIM on the iPad: Mail, Team Mail & Camera (iOS)
With the current release, we have converted the Mail, Team Mail and Camera modules to an adaptive user interface. After the Workspace, the Browser and the Documents, Tasks & Notes and Contacts modules, these modules are the next modules in SecurePIM to react fully adaptively to Stage Manager and Window Management.
Change display mode for documents independently of system settings (iOS)
This new feature is particularly interesting for those of you who prefer to use SecurePIM in the dark theme, but still want to display and edit documents in the light theme: Word and PDF documents can now always be displayed in the light theme regardless of the system settings – without you having to laboriously adjust the system theme every time. The setting can be switched directly in the respective document and is always document-specific. To change the design of a document, select the option Document in light design or Document in system design in the sidebar of the relevant document.
Seamlessly continue working on email drafts (Android)
If SecurePIM is temporarily locked, email drafts in the Mail module are now fully retained. When reopened, the app continues exactly where you left off, including text, attachments and edits.
Navigation bar modernized (Android)
The navigation bar has been visually revised and adapted to the current Android design system. Icons appear clearer and the active area is now marked by an easily recognizable, rounded highlight.
Swipe function improved (Android)
The swipe function in the mail module is now available across the board. Even if emails are not yet fully loaded or there is no internet connection, messages can be edited as usual by swiping.
Technical information
Polaris update: Extended license
The latest Polaris update to version 5.3.2511.0 contains an extended license that is valid until 30 June 2027.
Announcement: End of support for Sharepoint 2016 and Sharepoint 2019
Microsoft is expected to end support for Sharepoint 2016 and Sharepoint 2019 on July 14, 2026. From this date, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates for Sharepoint 2016 and Sharepoint 2019.
Please update in good time before support expires.
Sharepoint 2016 and 2019 are expected to be replaced by Sharepoint Server Subscription Edition (SE) in the second half of 2026.
Deactivation of Apple Intelligence writing tools in input fields (iOS)
In SecurePIM, all writing tools from Apple Intelligence – such as rewriting texts or proofreading by Apple Intelligence – have been deactivated in text input fields. This affects both the normal input fields in SecurePIM and embedded web content.
This measure means that Apple Intelligence can be used on the device without Apple Intelligence processing content from SecurePIM.
Note on Apple Intelligence:
Since iOS 18.4, the Apple Intelligence functions have been fully available on iPhones in the EU. However, if AI functions are activated, there is a possibility that Apple Intelligence will access sensitive content from other apps and process it outside the respective app.
Apple currently does not offer the option to specifically exclude certain apps from being used by Apple Intelligence.
We therefore recommend completely deactivating Apple Intelligence on devices with sensitive data.
- Configuration of SkipKey for Apple Intelligence via MDM (iOS)
To prevent Apple Intelligence from being activated in the first place, we recommend configuring a SkipKey for Apple Intelligence. SkipKeys can be set up by administration teams during the setup of devices if you use an MDM system, for example. If a SkipKey is configured for Apple Intelligence, the option for activation is not displayed to users during device setup.
Further information on SkipKeys can be found at https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/skipkeys. - Manually deactivate Apple Intelligence (iOS)
If you do not use MDM, SecurePIM Enterprise users must manually deactivate Apple Intelligence in the iOS device settings.
For more information on manually deactivating Apple Intelligence, see: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/iphone/iphc28624b81/ios.
Please update SecurePIM to the latest version on all devices used.
For iOS devices
Some security-critical patches are available with iOS/iPadOS versions 26.3. Therefore, please update to version 26.3 as a matter of urgency. Please note that we will discontinue support for older iOS versions 6 months after the official release of a new iOS version.
For Android devices
If you are using an Android device, we recommend that you use Android 15. Please update your device if you have not already done so.
SecurePIM Management Portal (Version 2.63.x)
Remote Admin API: Adjustments to authentication and updated header names
Authentication headers are now recognized regardless of upper and lower case. In addition, the header names have been adapted to common proxy default settings and underscores have been replaced by hyphens.
Stricter session management
You can now configure the duration of a session in the SecurePIM Management Portal under Company administration > General settings. At the end of the session, you will be automatically logged out and will have to authenticate yourself again. The default value is 60 minutes. You will only be logged out after a period of inactivity. Active work within the session does not lead to a logout.
Limitation for password reset
The function for resetting a password in the SecurePIM Management Portal can only be triggered five times within an hour. On the sixth attempt, it is blocked for 60 minutes. If the specified e-mail address exists, the person concerned will also receive a notification.
Display of the password guidelines when setting a new password
When setting a new password, the password rules are displayed before the password is entered. This prevents incorrect entries on the first attempt. This change affects all login pages of the SecurePIM Management Portal.
Please note the information on the system requirements for the SecurePIM Management Portal. A detailed table can be found in the release notes for version 2.63.x.
Download the new versions now
The new version of SecurePIM is now available in the Apple App Store (version 9.40.x) and in Google Play (version 9.7.x). Update now and benefit from the latest functions.
