New year, new features, new improvements: the new version of SecurePIM is waiting for you in the Apple App Store, Google Play and the Infohub.
Take a look at what we’ve improved this time:
SecurePIM Enterprise / Government (9.12.x for iOS & 9.1.x for Android)
Optimizations when updating to a new version (iOS)
We have optimized the data migration process when updating to a new SecurePIM version: Instead of loading all data into the memory and migrating it, only a partial migration is now carried out. This means that when you update SecurePIM, only the modules that have actually been changed are migrated, for example the calendar module when you update from SecurePIM 9.8.x to SecurePIM 9.12.x.
We expect these innovations to shorten update times and improve the stability of data migration.
Show all saved contact email addresses when creating emails (local and GAL) (iOS)
We have revised the search for email contacts when creating emails.
If you have already selected a contact, you can tap and hold or double-tap on the contact’s name in the address field when creating an email. A menu will then open in which you can see the e-mail address used for the contact. All email addresses that you have saved for this contact in the Contacts module are displayed here – regardless of whether they are saved locally or from the Global Address List (GAL). If necessary, you can change the e-mail address used by tapping on a different address for the contact.
If you have not yet selected a contact and search for a contact using the search function, the results will show you both entries from your local address list and entries from the Global Address List. If you tap and hold on an entry from the Global Address List, all saved e-mail addresses that the GAL contains for this contact are displayed here. If you tap and hold on a local contact, all email addresses that you have saved locally for this contact are displayed.
Sharing attachments of calendar events (iOS)
You can now also use the Open in and Attach options for calendar event attachments and open them in another app or attach them to an email.
The options must be activated by your administration team in the SecurePIM Management Portal before you can use them.
Comprehensive preparations for Android 15 (Android)
In this release, we have made extensive preparations for Android 15 to ensure a smooth integration of SecurePIM. This will create the basis for a seamless transition and make SecurePIM ready for the next generation of Android.
Technical information
Please update SecurePIM to the latest version on all devices used.
For iOS devices
Some security-critical patches are available with iOS/iPadOS version 18.3. Please therefore update to version 18.3 as a matter of urgency. Please note that we will discontinue support for older iOS versions 6 months after the official release of a new iOS version.
For Android devices
If you are using an Android device, we recommend that you use Android 14. Please update your device if you have not already done so.
SecurePIM Management Portal (Version 2.57.x)

Discontinuation of support for Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and Debian 11
Support for Ubuntu version 22.04 LTS and older as well as support for Debian version 11 and older ends with this release.
With the January release, only Ubuntu version 24.04 LTS is supported and recommended.
In addition, only Debian version 12 is supported with the January release.
Framework migration from Javax to Jakarta
With the discontinuation of support for Tomcat 9 and support for Tomcat 10, we have migrated from Javax to Jakarta to ensure compatibility (of the application servers) with Tomcat 10.
Note if the root certificate configuration is missing
If you have not configured any root certification authority(ies), a warning banner will appear prominently with this release, informing you of the missing configuration. As soon as you have entered at least one root certification authority under Settings > CAs & TLS > your trusted root certification authorities (root CAs) or activated root certification authority(ies) under Mozilla’s trusted root certification authorities (root CAs), the warning banner will disappear.
Please note the information on the system requirements for the SecurePIM Management Portal. A detailed table can be found in the release notes for version 2.57.x.
