Release update: Improvements to calendar and bookmarks

Blog, Release

Just in time for the start of spring, we are bringing a breath of fresh air to SecurePIM and the SecurePIM Management Portal in March!
Take a look at what we have improved this time:

SecurePIM Enterprise / Government (9.17.x for iOS & 9.2.x for Android)

SecurePIM supports conditional access for OAuth (iOS)

SecurePIM now offers extended access restrictions via Conditional Access for OAuth, which can be set by administration teams to increase security. With conditional access, additional security measures such as multi-factor authentication (MFA) may be required. In SecurePIM, this is supported by system workflows that can be activated via the SMP.

Show all saved contacts when creating calendar events (local and GAL) (iOS)

You can display all saved contact addresses when adding contacts and choose between them when creating a calendar event. Tapping and holding on a selected contact or a search result also displays additional email addresses from the GAL or the local address list.

Add and remove local bookmarks directly in the workspace (iOS)

In the workspace, you can now add or delete local bookmarks yourself. You can either select a bookmark from the internal browser or create a bookmark yourself by entering a URL and a name.

Improved view when creating appointments (Android)

We have optimized the view for the description of appointments in the calendar. The view now adapts dynamically to the required length of the description.

SecurePIM is ready for Android 15 (Android)

All preparations have been successfully completed and tested. With this release, SecurePIM officially supports Android 15, which means that SecurePIM remains your proven solution for secure communication under Android 15.

Technical information

End of support for iOS 17

With this version, SecurePIM no longer supports iOS and iPadOS 17.
SecurePIM 9.12.x is therefore the last version that runs under iOS 17.

Deactivating the Apple Intelligence writing tools (iOS)

From iOS 18.4, the Apple Intelligence functions will be fully usable on iPhones in the EU. If AI functions are activated, they could be used to access data worthy of protection.

We therefore strongly recommend deactivating Apple Intelligence either via MDM or manually in the iOS device settings.

Please update SecurePIM to the latest version on all devices used.

For iOS devices

Some security-critical patches are available with iOS/iPadOS versions 18.3.2. Please therefore update to version 18.3.2 as a matter of urgency. Please note that we will discontinue support for older iOS versions 6 months after the official release of a new iOS version.

For Android devices

If you are using an Android device, we recommend that you use Android 15. Please update your device if you have not already done so.

SecurePIM Management Portal (Version 2.58.x)

Filter device overview by group

You can now also filter the device overview by group. To do this, go to the device overview. There you can display and export the entries of a specific group.

Test email templates before sending

You can now send e-mail templates to your own address in advance for testing purposes. If necessary, you can adapt the template before it is sent to a larger group of users.

New setting “OAuth with system component”

You can now select the new setting OAuth with system component. This function activates authentication via Conditional Access from Microsoft Intune for SecurePIM users.

Please note the information on the system requirements for the SecurePIM Management Portal. A detailed table can be found in the release notes for version 2.58.x.

Download the new versions now

The new version of SecurePIM is now available in the Apple App Store (version 9.17.x) and in Google Play (version 9.2.x). Update now and benefit from the latest functions.

Detailed release notes on the current versions of SecurePIM and the SecurePIM Management Portal, including system requirements, can be found in the Infohub.
