Materna Virtual Solution introduces TrustCam, the first secure camera for indigo
Munich, 02.05.2025 – Cameras and scanners are among the essential functions of mobile devices. When it comes to processing classified data, however, these standard applications quickly reach their limits and restrict ultra-mobile working. With TrustCam, Materna Virtual Solution now presents a secure, VS-NfD-classified solution.
TrustCam enables government employees to securely capture content such as photos or scans that are classified up to level VS-NfD. TrustCam thus extends the basic functions of the native platforms – email, calendar and contacts – to include the essential function of photo capture.
With TrustCam, Materna Virtual Solution has developed the first camera app designed exclusively for indigo (iOS Native Devices in Government Operation) and is currently undergoing the approval process at the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). The application was developed entirely in Germany and meets the highest requirements for information security and VS-NfD conformity. The functions at a glance:
