Welcome to our third release of the year! Take a look at what we have improved this time:
SecurePIM (9.54.x for iOS & 9.9.x for Android)
Support for MSG and EML files (iOS)
SecurePIM now supports EML and MSG files and can process them in the Mail, Team Mail and Calendar modules, as well as when accessing local documents or file storage locations (e.g. FileShare).
You can now attach entire emails, including any attached files, to another email and then open them directly in SecurePIM, as well as include them as attachments when replying to an email. You can also open attachments contained within an MSG or EML file. Support is even provided for opening EML and MSG files that are attached within another MSG or EML file. Furthermore, the ‘Reply’ and ‘Forward’ functions are now also available directly from the view of an open MSG or EML file.
Retaining the Current Time Position After Editing a Calendar Event (iOS)
With this release, the calendar now remembers the position where you were editing a specific event, even after you have opened and edited it. This makes it easier to edit all your events and plan your day without interruption.
Zooming in the Event Details View (iOS)
You can now use the pinch-to-zoom gesture in the daily and weekly views of calendar events to enlarge the view. To do this, simply use two fingers to make a spreading motion on the screen (“pinch & zoom”).
Improved Recognition of Login Details on Websites (iOS)
We have improved the recognition of login details on websites in SecurePIM. SecurePIM now recognises your login details (e.g. email address and password) more reliably when you log in to websites with different configurations.
More Convenient Image Navigation in the Documents Module (Android)
The image view in the Secure Photos folder and the My Documents folder has been enhanced. You can now scroll through images directly using a swipe gesture without having to exit single-image view. Swipe left or right to switch between images with ease.
In addition, a new preview bar with thumbnails makes it easier to navigate. The image currently shown is highlighted, and other images can also be selected directly.
Pull-to-refresh Available for Team Mails (Android)
The pull-to-refresh function is now also available in the Team Mails module. This allows you to refresh and synchronise your emails directly by pulling down the email list.
Technical information
Preparations for iOS 27 & iPadOS 27
iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 were officially released on September 14, 2026.
With the release of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, iOS’s storage management has changed. If you are still using SecurePIM with iOS 26, these changes may cause issues with document management in SecurePIM, such as error messages stating ‘insufficient storage space’ when opening email attachments, or the app crashing when opening PDF files from email attachments.
Please therefore update your operating systems to iOS 27 or iPadOS 27 as soon as possible to ensure that SecurePIM runs smoothly and without interruption.
Exchange Online: EWS Deprecation
In February 2026, Microsoft announced the mandatory deprecation of the Exchange Web Services (EWS) API for Exchange Online and Microsoft 365, effective October 1, 2026.
The EWS shutdown affects only your cloud environment; it has no impact on your on-premises installations.
We have already begun adapting our products to meet this new requirement. Until now, EWS has been used to integrate shared mailboxes, calendars, public folders, and push notifications.
Ensuring EWS Functionality with the App Whitelist:
To ensure continued functionality, administration teams must explicitly enable EWS manually prior to the shutdown in October 2026. For example, you can enable EWS for the entire organization using the command ` Set-OrganizationConfig -EWSEnabled $true `. EWS can also be enabled for individual mailboxes. Administration teams should consult Microsoft for information on the available options.
End of Support for SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint 2019
Microsoft ended support for SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint 2019 on 14 July 2026. SharePoint 2016 and 2019 have been replaced by SharePoint Server Subscription Edition (SE).
Microsoft will therefore no longer provide security updates for SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint 2019.
Please check whether you have already installed an update and, if in doubt, do so as soon as possible.
Deactivation of Apple Intelligence writing tools in input fields (iOS)
In SecurePIM, all writing tools from Apple Intelligence – such as rewriting texts or proofreading by Apple Intelligence – have been deactivated in text input fields. This affects both the normal input fields in SecurePIM and embedded web content.
This measure means that Apple Intelligence can be used on the device without Apple Intelligence processing content from SecurePIM.
Note on Apple Intelligence:
Since iOS 18.4, the functions of Apple Intelligence have been fully available on iPhones in the EU. However, if AI functions are activated, there is a possibility that Apple Intelligence will access sensitive content from other apps and process it outside the respective app.
Apple currently does not offer the option to specifically exclude certain apps from being used by Apple Intelligence.
We therefore recommend completely deactivating Apple Intelligence on devices with sensitive data.
- Configuration of SkipKey for Apple Intelligence via MDM (iOS)
To prevent Apple Intelligence from being activated in the first place, we recommend configuring a SkipKey for Apple Intelligence. SkipKeys can be set up by administration teams during the setup of devices if you use an MDM system, for example. If a SkipKey is configured for Apple Intelligence, the option for activation is not displayed to users during device setup.

If you do not use MDM, SecurePIM Enterprise users must manually deactivate Apple Intelligence in the iOS device settings.

Please update SecurePIM to the latest version on all devices used.
For iOS devices
iOS/iPadOS version 26.6 includes several critical security patches. Therefore, please update to version 26.6 as soon as possible. Please note that we discontinue support for older iOS versions 6 months after the official release of a new iOS version.
For Android devices
If you are using an Android device, we recommend that you use Android 16. Please update your device if you have not already done so.
SecurePIM Management Portal (Version 2.65.x)
Remote Admin API: Extended Endpoints and HTTP Status Codes
The Remote Admin API has been enhanced with several new features. New endpoints are now available for retrieving information on user groups and registered devices. All API endpoints now consistently return HTTP 2xx status codes to clearly indicate the status of requests.
Correct Processing of Incoming IP Addresses
The SecurePIM Management Portal now processes and stores only the first IP address provided in gateway requests. This correction resolves connection issues when using reverse proxies. No additional configuration is required from now on.

Download the new versions now
The new version of SecurePIM is now available in the Apple App Store (version 9.54.x) and on Google Play (version 9.9.x). Update now to take advantage of the latest features.
