Munich, 22 October 2018 – Virtual Solution, the security specialist, has joined the AppConfig Community. Thanks to this move, its SecurePIM container solution can easily be integrated into the most common Mobile Device Management solutions.
Enterprise Mobility Management solution providers and app developers have joined hands in the AppConfig Community. The aim is to work on tools and best practices for the configuration and management of mobile apps based on iOS and Android mobile operating systems’ security and configuration frameworks. Thanks to its common standards, the AppConfig Community makes it easier to introduce and provide mobile company applications. This means that IT administrators can simply configure and manage the apps as they require them, in line with their respective companies’ guidelines.
Thanks to its participation in the Community, Virtual Solution is making it even easier to integrate the SecurePIM container solution into all common Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems. Within the framework of the AppConfig Community, integration is standardized and made completely transparent for users.
Virtual Solution has been implementing these technologies for a long time now, so its new membership in the Community is simply a logical step to take.
SecurePIM is a container solution that allows companies to protect corporate data and prevent unauthorized third-party access to their resources on mobile devices. In this way, employees can work on their mobile devices while enjoying top security for their data – without user-friendliness being affected.
“Security is now the hottest issue for mobile applications”, explains Günter Junk, CEO of Virtual Solution AG in Munich. “In the past, the implementation of security requirements has led to various solutions being put forward by Enterprise Mobility providers. Thanks to the AppConfig Community, we have now all come under the same roof to harmonize and standardize our solutions, thus providing the basis for further positive developments in the field of secure mobile work.”
