Welcome to the new release cycle in 2026! For the first release of the year, we have a whole range of new features and improvements for SecurePIM and the SecurePIM Management Portal for you.
SecurePIM (9.40.x for iOS & 9.7.x for Android)
Dynamic Text Sizes in the Team Mail Module, When Adding Shared Items, and on the Login Screen (iOS)
With the latest version of SecurePIM, the Team Mail module now also supports dynamic text sizes. As in the Mail module, the text size in the Team Mail module automatically adjusts to the individual iOS system settings on the account page, the folder view, the inbox, the email view, and when creating an email in the email composer, automatically adapts to the individual iOS system settings, thereby improving the readability and usability of the app for users with impaired vision, age-related vision problems, or temporary limitations.
SecurePIM also automatically adjusts the font size in the pages for adding shared mailboxes, calendars, contacts, and participants, in the SecurePIM login screen, and in the time picker for the Calendar, Tasks & Notes, and Contacts modules to the iOS settings.
To display dynamic text in the Mail module, you must enable it in the iOS system settings under Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Larger Text and additionally in the SecurePIM settings under General > Dynamic Text.
Adaptive User Interface for SecurePIM on the iPad: Mail, Team Mail & Camera (iOS)
With the current release, we have converted the Mail, Team Mail, and Camera modules to an adaptive user interface. Following the Workspace, Browser, and Documents, Tasks & Notes, and Contacts modules, these are the next modules in SecurePIM to respond fully adaptively to Stage Manager and Window Management.
Change Display Mode for Documents Independently of System Settings (iOS)
This new feature is particularly interesting for those of you who prefer to use SecurePIM in dark mode but still want to view and edit documents in light mode: Word and PDF documents can now always be displayed in light mode, regardless of the system settings – without having to go through the hassle of adjusting the system design every time. The setting can be changed directly in the respective document and always applies to that specific document. To change the theme of a document, select the option Document in light mode or Document in system design in the sidebar of the corresponding document.
Seamless Continuation of Email Drafts (Android)
When SecurePIM is locked in the meantime, email drafts in the Mail module are now fully preserved. When reopening the app, it continues exactly where you left off, including text, attachments and edits.
Navigation Bar Updated (Android)
The navigation bar has been visually updated and aligned with the current Android design system. Icons appear clearer, and the active area is now highlighted with a well‑defined, rounded indicator.
Improved Swiping (Android)
Swiping in the Mail module is now available consistently. Even if emails are not fully loaded or an internet connection is missing, messages can still be processed by swiping as usual.
Technical Information
Polaris Update: Extended License
The latest Polaris update to version 5.3.2511.0 includes an extended license that is valid until June 30, 2027.
Announcement: End of support for SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint 2019
Microsoft is expected to end support for SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint 2019 on July 14, 2026. From this date onwards, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates for SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint 2019.
Please update in good time before support expires.
SharePoint 2016 and 2019 are expected to be replaced by SharePoint Server Subscription Edition (SE) in the second half of 2026.
Disabling Apple Intelligence Writing Tools in Text Input Fields
In SecurePIM, all Apple Intelligence writing tools – such as text rewriting or proofreading by Apple Intelligence – have been disabled in text input fields. This affects both normal input fields in SecurePIM and embedded web content.
This measure allows Apple Intelligence to be used on the device without content from SecurePIM being processed by Apple Intelligence.
Note on Apple Intelligence
Since iOS 18.4, Apple Intelligence features are fully available on iPhones in the EU. However, when AI features are enabled, Apple Intelligence may access sensitive content from other apps and process it outside of the respective app.
Apple does not currently offer a way to specifically exclude certain apps from being used by Apple Intelligence.
We therefore recommend completely disabling Apple Intelligence on devices containing sensitive data.
- Configuring SkipKey for Apple Intelligence via MDM
To prevent Apple Intelligence from being enabled in the first place, we recommend configuring a SkipKey for Apple Intelligence. SkipKeys can be set up by administration teams during device setup, for example, if you use an MDM system. If a SkipKey is configured for Apple Intelligence, the option to enable it will not be displayed to users during device setup.
For more information about SkipKeys, visit https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/skipkeys. - Manually Disabling Apple Intelligence
If you don’t use MDM, SecurePIM Enterprise users must manually disable Apple Intelligence in the iOS device settings.
For more information on manually disabling Apple Intelligence, please visit: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/iphone/iphc28624b81/ios.
Please update SecurePIM to the latest version on all your devices.
For iOS-Devices
With iOS/iPadOS versions 26.3 some security-critical patches are available. Please therefore update to version 26.3. Please note that we will discontinue support for older iOS versions 6 months after an official release of a new iOS version.
For Android-Devices
If you are using an Android device, we recommend that you use Android 15. Please update your device if you have not already done so.
SecurePIM Management Portal (Version 2.63.x)
Remote Admin API: Authentication Adjustments and Updated Header Names
Authentication header are now recognized regardless of upper and lower case. In addition, the header names have been adapted to common proxy default settings, and we have replaced underscores with hyphens.
Limit for Password Reset
The password reset function in the SecurePIM Management Portal can now only be triggered five times within an hour. After the sixth attempt, it is blocked for 60 minutes. If the specified email address exists, the person concerned will also receive a notification.
Display of Password Policies When Setting a New Password
When setting a new password, the password rules are displayed before the password is entered. This helps to avoid incorrect entries on the first attempt. This change affects all login pages of the SecurePIM Management Portal.
Stricter Session Management
You can now configure the duration of a session in the SecurePIM Management Portal under Company Administration > General Settings. After the session has ended, you’ll be automatically logged out and will need to re-authenticate. The default value is 60 minutes. Logout only occurs after a period of inactivity. Active work within the session does not result in logout.
Download the new versions now
The new version of SecurePIM is now available in the Apple App Store (version 9.40.x) and in Google Play (version 9.7.x). Update now and benefit from the latest features.
