2025 is slowly coming to an end, and we welcome you to the latest versions of SecurePIM and the SecurePIM Management Portal for the final release of the year.
SecurePIM (9.33.x for iOS & 9.6.x for Android)
Dynamic Text Size in the Mail Module (iOS)
With the current version of SecurePIM, the Mail module now supports dynamic text sizes. The text size on the account page, folder view, inbox, email view, and when creating an email in the email composer automatically adjusts to individual iOS system settings, improving the readability and usability of the app for users with impaired vision, age-related vision problems, or temporary limitations.
To ensure that dynamic text is displayed in the Mail module, you must enable it in the iOS system Settings under Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Larger Text and in the SecurePIM settings under General > Text Size > Dynamic Text.
Dynamic User Interface in the Documents, Tasks & Notes Modules (iOS)
With the current release, we have converted the Documents, Tasks, and Notes modules to an adaptive user interface. After the Workspace, Contacts module, and browser, these modules are the next modules in SecurePIM to respond fully adaptively to Stage Manager and Window Management.
Restrict Downgrading of Categories in Email Categorization (iOS)
Administration teams now have the option to prevent the downgrading of an email’s category. Users can then no longer select a lower category when replying to or forwarding an email that has been assigned a category.
Swiping in the Team Mails Module (Android)
Swipe right to mark emails as read or unread. Swipe left to quickly reply or delete a message. Tap the menu icon to see all available actions.
Improved Stability and Maintainability (Android)
We’ve revised the internal architecture in several modules to further enhance app stability – especially under heavy usage and special system conditions.
Technical Information
Support of Exchange Server Subscription Edition (SE)
Starting with this release, we only support Exchange Server Subscription Edition (SE).
Microsoft ended support for Exchange 2016 and Exchange 2019 on October 14, 2025. Since then, Microsoft has not provided any security updates for Exchange 2016 and Exchange 2019.
Announcement: End of support for SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint 2019
Microsoft is expected to end support for SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint 2019 on July 14, 2026. From this date onwards, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates for SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint 2019.
Please update in good time before support expires.
SharePoint 2016 and 2019 are expected to be replaced by SharePoint Server Subscription Edition (SE) in the second half of 2026.
Disabling Apple Intelligence Writing Tools in Text Input Fields
In SecurePIM, all Apple Intelligence writing tools – such as text rewriting or proofreading by Apple Intelligence – have been disabled in text input fields. This affects both normal input fields in SecurePIM and embedded web content.
This measure allows Apple Intelligence to be used on the device without content from SecurePIM being processed by Apple Intelligence.
Note on Apple Intelligence
Since iOS 18.4, Apple Intelligence features are fully available on iPhones in the EU. However, when AI features are enabled, Apple Intelligence may access sensitive content from other apps and process it outside of the respective app.
Apple does not currently offer a way to specifically exclude certain apps from being used by Apple Intelligence.
We therefore recommend completely disabling Apple Intelligence on devices containing sensitive data.
- Configuring SkipKey for Apple Intelligence via MDM
To prevent Apple Intelligence from being enabled in the first place, we recommend configuring a SkipKey for Apple Intelligence. SkipKeys can be set up by administration teams during device setup, for example, if you use an MDM system. If a SkipKey is configured for Apple Intelligence, the option to enable it will not be displayed to users during device setup.
For more information about SkipKeys, visit https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/skipkeys. - Manually Disabling Apple Intelligence
If you don’t use MDM, SecurePIM Enterprise users must manually disable Apple Intelligence in the iOS device settings.
For more information on manually disabling Apple Intelligence, please visit: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/iphone/iphc28624b81/ios.
Please update SecurePIM to the latest version on all your devices.
For iOS-Devices
With iOS/iPadOS versions 26.1 some security-critical patches are available. Please therefore update to version 26.1. Please note that we will discontinue support for older iOS versions 6 months after an official release of a new iOS version.
For Android-Devices
If you are using an Android device, we recommend that you use Android 15. Please update your device if you have not already done so.
SecurePIM Management Portal (Version 2.62.x)
Remote Admin API for SecurePIM Management: Relocation and Group Administration
We have expanded the Remote Admin API for external management of the SecurePIM app: You can now create and delete user groups and add SecurePIM users to groups and send registration or QR codes to user accounts via email. In addition, you can now retrieve specific account information, including account UUID, email address, first and last name, group UUID, and registration status.
The function has also been relocated: From this release, you can find the Remote Admin API under Company Administration > Remote Admin API.
Hierarchy for Email Categories
You can now set a ranking for email categories. This setting prevents SecurePIM app users from subsequently downgrading emails to a lower category.
You can set the ranking of email categories under SecurePIM Administration > Settings > Email.
SecurePIM Gateway Logs: Reduced & Available on Demand
The log data for communication between SecurePIM Gateway and the SecurePIM Management Portal has been significantly reduced. This change serves to make storage usage more efficient. By default, only ACL requests are now logged.
For detailed analysis, you can retrieve the complete logs under External Services > SecurePIM Gateway.
As part of the release, the previously stored logs were deleted once.
WebDAV: Variable Available for Exchange Account
When setting up a WebDAV URL, the variable ${ExchangeAccountName} is now available. When you insert the variable, the path is automatically adjusted for each SecurePIM account – manual entries are no longer necessary.
You can find the settings for the WebDAV URL under SecurePIM Administration > Settings > File Server.
Download the new versions now
The new version of SecurePIM is now available in the Apple App Store (version 9.33.x) and in Google Play (version 9.6.x). Update now and benefit from the latest features.
